When Navy (the owner) reached out, she had a clear goal: create a website that didn’t look like every other home care template. It needed to feel personal, trustworthy, and simple to use—because the audience wasn’t tech-savvy millennials. It was their parents.

Target Audience Considerations

Sarasota County has one of the highest concentrations of wealthy retirees in Florida. The site needed to resonate with older adults and their adult children—people who expect clear information, emotional reassurance, and zero digital clutter. Every design decision was made to serve that specific group.

Goals & Requirements

  • Clearly explain non-medical in-home care and companionship services
  • Build trust immediately through tone, layout, and visuals
  • Highlight the owner’s 20+ years of experience and hands-on involvement
  • Include job application info and a user-friendly contact form
  • Avoid overwhelming text while still being informative

What I Delivered

  • Custom Design: No templates. I built the site from scratch using Essential Team Care’s brand colors—soft but confident—and added subtle UI touches to keep it feeling calm and premium.
  • Warm Visuals: The hero image and service blocks feature genuine, happy moments that reflect the experience Navy’s team actually provides.
  • Skimmable Copy: I kept the writing straightforward and reassuring. No fluff, no filler—just what someone’s daughter wants to read when looking for care for her mom.
  • Services Section: Clear cards for each offering (companionship, errands, medication reminders, etc.) so visitors can quickly find what they need.
  • Local Emphasis: The FAQ section reinforces the Sarasota roots and positions Essential Team Care as the go-to for families in the area.
  • Performance: Fast load times, accessible layout, fully responsive.

Final Notes

This wasn’t about looking trendy. It was about making the right kind of impression with the right kind of audience. The result is a professional, heartfelt website that gives Sarasota families peace of mind from the very first scroll.
