Web Design for Home Service Businesses
Most service businesses don’t need a fancy website. They need one that loads fast, shows up on Google, and turns visitors into phone calls. That’s what I build.
- More calls and form submissions from your website
- A site that ranks on Google without paying for ads
- Fast load times that keep visitors from bouncing
- A design that makes your business look like the obvious choice

Who my Web Design Service is For
Roofing companies, contractors, landscapers, home builders, and other trade businesses who need a site that actually captures leads that turn into jobs. If you want the cheapest option available, I’m probably not the right fit. If you want a website that pays for itself, I can help.
How Much Does Hiring a Web Designer Cost?
Most home service web design projects start at $3,500. The final price depends on the number of pages, complexity, and any custom functionality needed. Every client gets a flat project quote upfront with no surprise charges and nothing added on after the fact.
Here’s what affects the price:
- Number of pages
- Whether you need copywriting
- Custom functionality like estimate calculators or online booking systems
- Timeline and urgency
How long does Professional Web Design Take?
Most projects are completed within 4 to 6 weeks from kickoff. The biggest factor on timeline is how quickly you can provide feedback and content. I’ll give you a realistic timeline in your proposal.
- Week 1 — Discovery
We learn your services, target area, and goals. You get a clear plan before any work starts. - Week 2 — Build
We build out your custom web design with all service pages, local SEO foundation, and CRM integration. - Week 3 — Review
You review the web design and request changes. Nothing goes live until you approve it. - Week 4 — Launch
We handle all the technical stuff. Your new site goes live and we submit it to Google.
Complex web design projects with 20+ pages may run 5–6 weeks. The biggest factor that slows projects down is waiting on content and photos from the client — the faster you provide those, the faster you get your new site.
Do I have to provide my own content and photos?
You’ll need to provide photos and any specific information about your services and company. I can work from notes and a phone call if you don’t have everything written out.
The main thing that’s crucial for a home service business is quality photos of your team members working, the owner, and before/after pictures. These are essential trust-building elements that will greatly improve your website’s conversion rate. Even normal iPhone photos are sufficient for this.
As an absolute last resort, I can pull stock photos from websites like Envato. This is not recommended for home services. Think about it, if a customer clicks on your website and sees only generic stock photos, that kills trust. Homeowners wants to see who will be showing up at their home before they reach out.
Bonus Points for Providing Video
Videos build trust with your prospects, just like photos do – only more so. If the prospect feels like they “know” the business owner/employees, they’re more likely to hire you. Videos embedded on your website are the fastest way to build a relationship with prospects – without speaking to them directly.
FAQs about web design services
Will my website show up on Google?
Every site I build includes full on-page SEO setup including meta titles, descriptions, header structure, schema markup, and Google Analytics and Search Console integration. That gives your site the right foundation to rank. Ongoing SEO to climb rankings over time is available as a separate service.
Will my web design work on phones?
Yes. Every web design project I do is mobile-first. Most roofing, landscaping, HVAC customers are searching on a phone, so this is not optional.
Can you redesign my existing website instead of building a new one?
Yes. If your current site has good bones but just needs modernizing, a redesign is often more cost effective than starting from scratch. Learn more on the website redesign page.
What happens after my site launches?
Every web design project includes 30 days of post-launch support for fixes and adjustments. After that, ongoing maintenance and marketing services are available if you want someone to keep managing and growing the site.
Do I own my website when it’s done?
Yes. You own everything including the domain, hosting account, and all files. I don’t hold anything hostage or lock you into a platform you can’t control.
Can I see some examples of web design projects you’ve done?
Yes, check out my portfolio page, and also browse the gallery of recent projects on my homepage.
